Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!
I am Larry Buchanan and I look forward to leading San Altos another year as we provide a 21st century focus on learning. Our mission at San Altos is to provide a safe environment where students can engage in challenging curricula that meet their academic needs and to make learning culturally relevant.
The office opens on August 23, 2012. School starts for students on September 4, 2012. Students should arrive each day no earlier than 8:00 a.m. unless they are in preschool or the Before School Extended Day Program. The first bell rings at 8:15 a.m. at which time students should be lined up and ready to be lead to class by their teachers. The school day ends at 2:25 p.m., and all students should be picked up no later than 2:40 p.m.
(PRESCHOOL HOURS WILL CONTINUE TO BE FROM 8:00 - 11:00 A.M. AND FROM 12:00 - 3:00 P.M.)
