Dual Immersion Program
What is D.I.A.? D.I.A. or Dual Immersion Academy. Dual immersion programs include native English-speaking students and native speakers of a foreign language. The goals of dual immersion programs are to develop bilingualism/biliteracy, academic achievement, and cross-cultural competencies for all students. Lemon Grove's Dual Immersion Program is located at Mount Vernon Elementary School and is currently servicing students in Pre School - 7th grade

Basic Facts of Mount Vernon’s D.I.A. :
- 50/50 model (50% instruction in English and 50% instruction in Spanish)
- Grades offered kindergarten through 7th grade. Eighth grade being added in Spring of 2015!
